Bundesverband Deutscher Stiftungen
The Bundesverband Deutscher Stiftungen (or the Association of German Foundations) is a non-profit umbrella organisation representing and safeguarding the interests of German foundations to the general public, politics and public authorities. Its task is to enable foundations to work effectively and achieve their future goals.
The Association lobbies to improve the legal framework of foundation law and foundation tax law in order to foster a foundation-friendly climate in Germany. It also facilitates dialogue, networking and training for German foundations, as well as maintains an information database about them. The Association is located in Berlin, Germany.
TopEuropean Foundation Centre
The European Foundation Centre is an independent international non-profit association of foundations and corporate funders dedicated to creating an enabling legal and fiscal environment for foundations, documenting the foundation landscape, strengthening the infrastructure of the sector and promoting collaboration, both among foundations and with other actors, to advance the public good in Europe and beyond.
Ultimate authority for the EFC rests with its Annual General Assembly of Members. Governance is entrusted to an elected Governing Council, supported by a Management Committee. EFC members agree to adhere to the principles and objectives set out in the Prague Declaration and the EFC Principles of Good Practice. The EFC is located in Brussels, Belgium.
TopPeace and Security Funders Group
The Peace and Security Funders Group is an association of private and public foundations, operating foundations, charitable trusts, grantmaking programs, and individual philanthropists who make grants or expenditures that contribute to peace and global security. Its purpose is to enhance the effectiveness of philanthropic activity across this broad area of shared interests and commitments.
PSFG provides members with opportunities for education on issues and for sharing information, innovative ideas and best practices. It fosters the development of effective grant-making strategies and collaboration. It also seeks to increase the involvement and investment in peace and security work of its current members, as well as encourage new and other existing funders to be active in this field. PSFG is located in Charlottesville, Virginia, USA.
