- Track 3
Normally focused at the grassroots level, these are activities directed towards conflict transformation and peacebuilding; e.g., institution and capacity building, training, peace education. It encourages interaction and understanding between hostile or formerly hostile local communities and involves awareness raising and empowerment within those communities. Development cooperation, humanitarian assistance, post-conflict rehabilitation, reconciliation and ‘dealing with the past’ can play an important role at Track 3 level.
