For more than 35 years, the Berghof Foundation for Conflict Studies has devoted philanthropic resources to nurturing a scholarly tradition in peace and conflict studies. We are a private family foundation with both an operational and grant-making capacity.
Our primary mission is three-fold:
- Supporting excellence and innovation in applied research in conflict studies
- Enabling pragmatic approaches to nonviolent conflict transformation
- Promoting effective networks of support and action with partner organisations
